from www.GasPredictor.com

Prediction

Prediction for September 10, 2009

Released to subscribers September 9, 2009, 4:30 PM EDT.

Change in Futures: 0.0002

Change in 2nd-Lowest Retail: 0

Pressure: 0.006

Trend for tomorrow: Up

Trend for next 2-3 days: Up

Price range for tomorrow: $2.259 - $2.272

Recommendation for tonight: Buy gas tonight.

Notes:

  1. Pressure is now very weakly upward. Prices could increase a penny or so per gallon.
  2. The price war in the suburbs is continuing to grow weaker. It is not likely to have an effect on prices in Atlanta tomorrow, and prices in the suburbs are likely to rise sharply as the price war ends.
  3. See below for an announcement of a new local edition of the "Gas Predictor Newsletter" coming in September.

Next Daily Gas Predictor will be published about 30 minutes after all relevant commodities market closing data are available, targeted for 4:00 PM EDT, Thursday, September 10, 2009.

  1. Seattle, Washington edition begins publishing on Monday, September 21, 2009.

Our tenth local edition will publish predictions of retail gasoline prices in Seattle, one of the twelve localities we use in our nationwide measurements. This is our third West Coast edition. The retail gasoline market in Seattle has been quite volatile, subject to frequent waves of price competition originating in surrounding smaller cities, and often building up in nearby Tacoma, but we believe we have refined our predition algorithm sufficiently that we can provide reliable price predictions for this dynamic market.

If you would like to convert your subscription from the Atlanta Edition to the Seattle Edition, please send an e-mail to subscribe@gaspredictor.com with "TRANSFER TO LOCAL EDITION" in the subject line. Please specify that you would like to begin receiving the Seattle edition as soon as it begins publication on September 21. Be sure to include your Subscriber ID.

The Seattle Edition will be open to the public for subscriptions on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Please be sure to convert your subscription to the new local edition before September 16 in order to ensure that subscriptions are still available. You will continue to receive the Atlanta Edition until the first Seattle Edition is published on September 21, 2009.

Once the limited number of subscriptions are filled, you will not be able to convert to this local edition.
